Virtual staging budget calculator.
Enter a supplier quote in your chosen currency. This free worksheet calculates your scenario in the page, without an account or upload. It supplies no vendor prices, currency conversion or expected return.
The formula and a fictional arithmetic example.
Total = quantity × (unit rate + additional revisions per unit × revision rate) × (1 + tax percentage / 100). For fictional inputs of 3 images, 20 per image, 2 additional revisions per image at 5 each, and 10% tax, the subtotal is 90, tax is 9 and total is 99 in the selected currency. These numbers demonstrate arithmetic only; they are not a quote or typical price.
Separate included work from billable additions.
Use the supplier’s billable unit: image, room or project. Included revisions belong in the base quoted price. Only enter additional revisions that will be charged, and enter their number per unit. Two additional revisions for each of three images means six billable revisions. If revision counts or rates differ by image, calculate separate groups. A project price cannot be compared directly with an image price without matching scope.
Record what the quote covers.
Use the optional scope field for the provider/reference, included revision allowance, deliverables, deadline, quote expiry and exclusions. A missing quote date or scope is reported as not supplied. Rush fees, subscriptions, separate add-ons and tiered prices have no dedicated calculation fields here: keep them in the record and reconcile them separately with the provider. Do not silently treat an excluded fee as zero. This total is only for the entered unit and additional-revision charges.
Tax, currencies and precision.
Select USD, EUR, GBP, CAD or AUD explicitly; this tool does not convert between them. The entered tax percentage applies once to the entire subtotal, including additional revisions. Confirm the rate and taxable basis with the quote; this calculator does not determine tax obligations. Enter zero if your confirmed scenario has no tax. Results use up to ten significant digits, not invoice or currency minor-unit rounding, so a tiny positive amount remains visible. Reconcile final rounding with the supplier’s invoice.
Compare equivalent work, not promised outcomes.
NAR’s consumer guidance distinguishes physical and virtual staging; it does not establish a price for your job. The FTC’s US advertising guidance requires support for objective advertising claims. This worksheet does not calculate sales uplift, savings or ROI. Compare the same deliverables and revision terms, and review image rights and publication requirements separately before accepting a service.
About this calculation.
Are additional revisions entered per image or for the whole order?+
They are per selected billable unit. If the unit is image, three images with two additional revisions each produces six billable additional revisions. Included revisions should not be counted again.
Does the calculator supply a typical virtual staging price?+
No. Enter your own quoted rates and select the quote currency. The tool does not recommend prices, convert currencies or estimate sales results.
How is tax applied?+
The entered percentage applies uniformly to the entire unit-and-revision subtotal. Verify that basis with the supplier; mixed tax rates, exemptions and invoice rounding need separate reconciliation.
Can the result be zero or smaller than one cent?+
Yes. Genuine zero rates can produce zero, and small positive totals remain visible using up to ten significant digits. An amount that underflows the supported calculation precision is rejected rather than displayed as zero.
